17th January is the date of the first Test match between England and Pakistan which is being uniquely staged in Dubai and Abu Dhabi and it’s not too late to be part of the action!
As our number one destination for luxury holidays, Dubai is a location with immense attraction; great family days out like Aquaventure and Ski Dubai sit alongside world class spa hotels, astounding cultural and large scale shopping and of course the sands of Jumeirah Beach and the Palm. Did I mention the world’s tallest building, the Burj Khalifa? Read my review of that here
Back on subject, England are newly crowned as the world’s number one placed Test team and they are faced with the challenge of overcoming a rejuvenated Pakistan side – so why not combine the cricket with a visit to one of the fastest developing cities on earth?
The test series will be England’s first since taking over that number one mantle and the series of three tests, four ODI’s and three T20’s are the first to ever be staged in the Middle East. For Pakistan, these matches are classed as home games owing to security concerns in their homeland.
It’s never a bad time to visit either, January is the coolest month of the year on average in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, but visitors will still expect temperatures of around 24 degrees, perfect for basking in the sun and enjoying some cricket.
You’ll need to source tickets for the cricket yourself, but if its luxury holidays you’re looking for then you’ve certainly come to the right place!
