Mubadala World Tennis Championships 2011

Held since 2009, the Mubadala World Tennis Championships brings some the world’s best tennis players together in the Middle East for a winter tournament played on outdoor hard courts.

The tournament this year takes place from Thursday 29th December until Saturday 31st December.

Held at the Abu Dhabi International Tennis Complex, the tournament features six players in total competing over 3 days making it a perfect occasion for a short break to the region.

This year, the six players are comprised of World Number One Novak Djokovic who is making his debut in Abu Dhabi along with crowd favourites Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer with David Ferrer, Jo-Wilfried Tsonga and Gael Monflis completing the line up.

The opening games are Monflis v Djokovic followed by Ferrer v Tsonga. Nadal and Federer were given a bye for the first round so will meet the winners of the opening games in the second round which will be played on December 30th, with the 3rd and 4th place game and the grand final scheduled for the final day on New Year’s Eve.

If you’ve always fancied seeing a live tennis game but don’t fancy chancing your arm with the weather at Wimbledon (although Wimbledon is a great experience), this could be a really good option for you!  Why not give us a call and we can arrange you a trip to look forward to after Christmas?
