Chocolate Heaven @ Dead Sea hotel in February

This is one of the more unusual items to have appeared on the Destinology blog!

February is the month to celebrate chocolate in all of its glory at Kempinski Hotel Ishtar Dead Sea! But apparently it’s not just a fantastic tasting sweet treat, which may be music to the ears of many.

No, the use of chocolate at this exceptional luxury Dead Sea hotel is highly prevalent at the resort's luxury spa facility.

“So Chocolate" is a special spa treatment using the goodness of pure chocolate. Looking at the pictures, treatments involve getting into a rather large vat of the stuff. Now, apparently there's some science behind this, even if it does sound a little bonkers to me. But then again, I'm afraid I'm no spa expert.

You may rightly wonder what are the health benefits?! Well, the hotels website says that cocoa "induces the production of endorphins in the body, creating substances that are capable of activating the natural process of fat elimination". They then go on to say that molecules known as “Happiness Molecules” are said to stimulate the senses, release tension and produce wellbeing.  I say fair enough...Just so long as you dont undo that philosophy by physcially eating the contents of your bath !

Chocolate however is not just celebrated at the spa, but throughout the month of February it makes a more noticeable appearence on the varying menus of the resort's fabulous restaurants:

Ashur Pizza & Grill Restaurant:
The chef’s invention – The Special Chocolate Pasta is chocolate ravioli stuffed with a delectable filling of goat cheese, served with a unique chocolate bread.

Sumerian Bar:
Melting Hearts, this latest signature creation is hot chocolate on a stick. Dip the chocolate in a glass of piping hot milk for it to melt into a creamy serving of warm chocolate. Served with a trio selection of chocolate delights.

Codes Restaurant:
One of the most envied creations of all time, the White & Dark Chocolate Spring Rolls, served with a rich, luscious white chocolate sauce.

Isin Lobby Lounge:
Serves an exclusive Chocolate Sushi Collection, made with pure white, milk and dark chocolate offering a real treat for dessert connoisseurs. Traditional wasabi sauce is replaced with a rich chocolate fudge and milk rice for a complete Sushi experience.
